Versiplug Bilge Drain Kit.
Posted in VersiPlug Auto Drain on December 26th, 2007 by SkipFor so long I have fallen victim to duck bills falling off or leaking. The original concept was great but using rubber is risky. Cant tell ya how many watercraft Ive seen sink due to the rubber duck bill falling off or leaking.
At the 08 World Finals I found a interesting replacement to the Duck Bill concept. At the PWCDOCTOR booth I was able to talk with the guys about this new style of drain plug. Talk about some cool stuff.
Easy to install and remove if desired.
OK now for the testing part.
Installation was easy.
Remove the stock Plug and insert the Versaplug. It simply screws in like your stock plug did.

I ended up using 2 as to have a set.

Instead of going through a long drawn out explanation. Here it is from them.
You can get these direct from PWC Doctor for $24.95 each.
Alsoavailible is the Versaplug-R for the Racing crowd. This racing version of the Versaplug was designed for the rougher condition of race enviroment. Though more exspensive, I found the R model to be a better fit for my style of riding. The biggest reason is that I race my JetSki and often have holders on the start line. With the R models the flange sit closer to the hull and avioding bumping ones knee on the outlet plug.

On installing the R model I used a thin layer of silicone on both sides of the ruber gasket.

Notice the excess on the ruber gasket. That is easily removed with a small utility knife.
