Welcome to Teammoto, Race Research for Kawasaki

Hello and welcome to Teammotoracing.com. Over the last few years Skip Holmes has kept a very active blog for the watercraft community, for racers and recreational riders a like. He wanted to share all that he could with as many people that had the same passion for the sport as he did. Skip started racing watercraft back in the day and had many idols as the sport grew. He became truly loyal to the Kawasaki over the years and I will never forget the first projects I was involved with back in 2005. Let me introduce myself…

My name is Danielle. I was Skip’s partner for the last 5 ½ years. We shared everything including a home, two dogs, and the love for this sport. Many might have met us over the years and I know we made some of our best friends through this community. Skip called me the brains behind the whole Teammoto operation and was the one to hold it all together. I thank him for that. I did try to be the glue, I give him the credit for the success of Teammoto and thank him for allowing me to stand by his side and be his support. I took up photography about 4 years ago, and have very much enjoyed documenting all of the events and projects Skip worked on over the years. I can tell you Skip and I spent countless hours in his workshop. I think sometimes we should have just moved out there.

For you that do not know, Skip passed away on July 23, 2010. That was the hardest day of my life and I want to thank all that have continued to support me and I will forever keep you in my heart. The past months have been trying but I am slowly finding the right path that I believe is right for me and Skip would have encouraged me to follow. I have been wanting to update his blog for a long time now I just have not been able to find the strength or words. Well, here we are today and let me tell you it is not any easier. I look back now on all the experiences we shared and all the stuff we found ourselves getting into. Skip was always getting into something. His own words were, “he is truly the one who starts most of the crap and can be found smack talking on the start line whether its his race or not“. I watched him over the years learning and pushing to find the right answers for making these machines the best possible. He was extremely dedicated to his projects and always working to make things bigger, better, and faster. That was always the goal.

Skip had another project in the works in 2010. He was keeping this one close and was very excited about it. Skip formed a new relationship with a local team and started a strategy to expand his knowledge base and build beside them as a joint venture.

I want to finish Skip’s last project. I will over the next year be working on his final project. We will be documenting and sharing all the information that goes into the making of this craft.

Once again, I thank you all for the support over the years. I know Skip would be pushing hard to make this sport live on. It was his passion and love.
